On this page students can download the tool DecideIT to be used as a student.

The 32 or 64 bit versions of DecideIT are dependent on your installed Java version, not the hardware.

Make sure you have Java installed before you download DecideIT. Download here

You will need a licence key to run the tool and that will be handed out by the course administration or found in your course book. It is valid for one year after the first start of the tool.

Transcending Business Intelligence. This is a popular introduction to decision support systems, business intelligence, and decision making in general. Very valuable if you want yourself and your organisation to make wiser and better-informed decisions, now and in the future.

A Decision-Analytic Manifesto - Ekenberg & Danielson. This is a more specialised mathematical book about the foundations of the DecideIT software. DecideIT rests on more than 20 years of advanced research which is summarised in a fairly light-weight format, although some integrals will show up halfway into the book.

If you are not allowed to install software on your computer, you can to use the JAR package.

The file will probably be downloaded to your "Downloads" folder. 

Open the File Explorer and go to the Downloads folder, right click on the zip file downloaded, typically "DecideIT 3.3 JAR x64.zip" and select "Extract All...", click Yes if you get a question.

Then open the command prompt and go to the folder you extracted the file to with the "cd" command, and start the software with this command:

javaw -jar DecideIT.jar
